There are five main ways you can contribute:
Donations are made to Sky Foundation and awarded as grants to scientists and clinicians who have submitted proposals to us and have been reviewed and recommended for funding by our Scientific Advisory Committee.
We award seed-money grants – grants in the $30,000 to $100,000 range – to provide the essential funds needed by researchers to develop their projects to the point where they can compete and secure major funding from the National Institutes of Health and other national funding sources.
Donations may be made in honor of or in memory of a loved one or friend. Large or small, the donations we receive are essential to our efforts and are bundled with other to create our seed-money grants.
If you are interested in making a planned gift, including a gift of appreciated stock, please call Sky Foundation at 248.385.5143 or email Sheila Kasselman at email@example.com.
We host three major events a year, in the spring, summer and fall. All are designed to raise awareness of pancreas health, the risk factors for developing pancreatic cancer, the importance of genetic counseling for certain populations, and first-person updates from researchers working on the early detection, prevention and treatment of the disease. Proceeds from the events become seed-money grants to advance promising research.
Tickets to events are available as each event approaches. We encourage you to attend and to bring friends and family.
There are many ways to contribute time to advancing the mission of Sky Foundation. Our Young Professionals Group (YPG) welcomes men and women ages 25 to 50 to help us raise awareness among this demographic. The YPG meets on a monthly basis to plan one major fundraiser and various awareness raising efforts throughout the year.

Our board members and corporate and medical partners often help underwrite our three major, annual awareness and fundraising events, the Women’s Event (spring), the Young Professionals Event (summer) and a gala luncheon (fall). We always prominently display the names of our event sponsors to express our thanks for their financial support.

Many people independently organize events to raise money for Sky Foundation. We always want to know about these types of special events in advance, if possible, and will provide guidance when requested. For example:
