Early in her professional career, Mary Ann worked for William Beaumont Hospital. The last 8 years, she spent in a financial role for The Beaumont Foundation, the fund-raising arm of William Beaumont Hospital (now Corewell Health). It was there where she experienced first-hand that joining forces for a cause can and will provide advances in medical technology and medical breakthroughs.
Eighteen years later, her only sibling, was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. For several months in 2015 being his sole caregiver she witnessed his fight through 2 rounds of chemo and excruciating pain before passing.
Fast forward 8 years, Sheila Sky Kasselman was streaming on Facebook. Intrigued, Mary Ann reached out to the Foundation to know more and quickly found herself on the Fundraising Committee. Mary Ann joined Sky’s Governing Board in 2025.
